Later this month, Wordless Music joins a jaw-dropping group of artists to honor the 40th anniversary of a monument in modern music: David Bowie’s Berlin trilogy. Led by Jonathan Meiburg of Shearwater, and curated by John Schaefer of New Sounds Live, members of Shearwater, Deerhoof, Xiu Xiu, Dirty Projectors, Loma, and Battle Trance will perform one album in its entirety each night: LODGER (Oct. 17), “HEROES” (Oct. 18), and LOW (Oct. 19). Each show will open with arrangements of music that inspired the trilogy, including Brian Eno’s DISCREET MUSIC and ANOTHER GREEN WORLD. Also appearing will be special guest Carlos Alomar, David Bowie’s rhythm guitarist and musical director for almost thirty years. These performances are all FREE and will start promptly each night at 7:30pm in the Winter Garden.
