On Saturday, October 27, Warp Records and Wordless Music will co-present a special listening event for LUX, the first solo album by Brian Eno for Warp Records, and his first solo effort since 2005’s Another Day on Earth, to be released on November 13.
LUX is one of Eno’s most ambitious works to date: a 75-minute composition in twelve sections that evolved from a work currently housed in the Great Gallery of the Palace of Venaria in Turin, Italy. The album was conceived a continuation of his “Music for Thinking” project that includes Discreet Music(1975) and Neroli (1993), and finds him expanding upon the themes and sonic textures of classic albums such as Music for Films, Music for Airports, and Apollo: Atmospheres and Soundtracks.
The LUX listening event will be fully FREE and held at a secret location to be announced near Columbus Circle and Lincoln Center. To attend the free event, fans need to RSVP, as spaces are limited.
